World Racing Group has acquired SLS Promotions, an independent US race-promotion business that has worked with the World of Outlaws for more than 30 years.

The official announcement describes the transaction as a strategic acquisition. Its scope includes SLS Promotions’ portfolio of event promotional agreements, relationships with race tracks and associated intellectual property. World Racing Group has not disclosed the purchase price, valuation, payment structure, completion conditions or the treatment of SLS employees and management.

SLS has specialised in promoting World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events. World Racing Group says bringing the operation in-house is intended to provide continuity for important dates on the annual calendar while allowing event delivery and marketing to be coordinated with the group’s wider sanctioning, sponsorship and media activities.

The transition is focused on SLS-promoted events already scheduled for 2027. The release does not identify every affected venue or contract, state whether any event dates will change, or explain how existing agreements with tracks and commercial partners will be assigned. Competitors and venues will therefore still need event-specific information from the relevant organiser.

World Racing Group also owns the DIRTVision streaming platform and operates the World of Outlaws and other dirt-racing properties. The company says combining those resources with SLS’s event experience should streamline operations and expand event marketing. Those are stated objectives; the announcement provides no cost-saving target, audience forecast or independent measure of the acquisition’s expected financial effect.

The transaction adds promotion capability and contractual relationships to a business that already controls sanctioning, media and sponsorship assets. That creates a more integrated operating model, but the release does not discuss governance safeguards, rights renewals or the commercial terms offered to host tracks.
